By using the Vocamate app or the vocamate.info website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
Vocamate is an app that teaches the 3,000 most common English words with flashcards, quizzes, a matching game and learning islands. Its core features are free and supported by ads. We may improve, change or remove content and features without prior notice.
2. Accounts
You can use the app as a guest or with an email, Google or Apple account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your password safe. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Delete account).
3. Premium subscription
- Premium is offered as an auto-renewing monthly, 6-month or yearly subscription and gives unlimited access to every feature and an ad-free experience. Current prices are shown on the purchase screen.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel it in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions, or on iOS under Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's or Apple's refund policies. You can move purchases to another device with "Restore Purchases" in the app.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes, reverse engineer it, copy or redistribute its content without permission, or attempt to disrupt the service. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. Intellectual property
The Vocamate name, logo, design, word lists, descriptions and other content belong to Emre Altun or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". We take care to keep content accurate but do not guarantee it is error-free or that you will reach a particular learning result. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app.
7. Apple users
If you downloaded the app on iOS, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. Apple is not responsible for these terms or for supporting the app.
8. Privacy
Your personal data is processed under the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without affecting your statutory rights as a consumer.
